310T Mechanic – Job Description

Trans Power Utility Contractors Inc. is a prime contractor to various utility, industrial and commercial clients, providing for the installation of high voltage cable, transformers, switchgears, street and highway lighting, traffic signals, telecommunication equipment and natural gas plant. Reporting to the Shop Manager, as a 310T Mechanic you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a diverse range of vehicles and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to:

• • Ford F-150 through F-550 trucks
• • Medium / Heavy-duty trucks
• • Trailers
• • A wide variety of construction equipment, including backhoes, excavators, loaders, and compressors.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• • Perform preventative maintenance services and inspections.
• • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• • Conduct engine, transmission, and driveline repairs.
• • Troubleshoot and repair braking systems, steering, and suspension.
• • Perform Ontario-based safety inspections.
• • Complete electronic work orders and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• • Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician License (Mandatory)
• • Proven experience working on a variety of commercial trucks and heavy equipment.
• • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• • Commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.
• • Own set of tools.
