Project Description:
The Wyndham Street Reconstruction project is part of the City of Guelph’s Downtown Infrastructure Renewal Program (DTIRP) and represents one of the largest infrastructure projects within the City of Guelph’s downtown corridor. The project focuses on the reconstruction of Wyndham Street North between Farquhar Street and Woolwich Street, with major upgrades to underground services and streetscaping. The objective is to replace aging infrastructure while enhancing the urban environment and delivering a modern, efficient, and resilient downtown core.
Scope of Work & Highlights:
Removal and construction of new cable chambers
Incorporation of new electrical infrastructure into existing cable chambers.
Supply and installation of joint-use, concrete-encased electrical infrastructure
High-voltage cable pulling
Working concurrently with Alectra electrical crews to expedite the schedule
Deployment of multiple crews to meet tight timelines
Execution of work under live traffic conditions while maintaining access to active downtown businesses
