Electrical Field Supervisor – Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Field Supervisor to join our team.
Job Summary:
As an Electrical Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for utility construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Supervise and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for utility construction projects.
- • Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure that projects are completed on time.
- • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within budget constraints.
- • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project specifications.
- • Provide technical support and guidance to field personnel.
- • Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project goals are met.
- • Ensure that all safety regulations and protocols are followed on all projects.
- • Conduct safety meetings and ensure that all personnel are trained and equipped with the proper safety gear.
- • Conduct performance evaluations for field personnel and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
Qualifications:
- • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, construction management or related field.
- • Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility construction,
with a focus on electrical systems.
- • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
- • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
- • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools.
- • Knowledge of federal & provincial regulations related to construction.
- • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
- • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- • Ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly.
- • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Physical Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have the ability to:
- • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- • Work in all weather conditions.
- • Work in trenches and work at heights.
- • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
